Our Brisbane to Roma general freight service runs daily. Freight is collected across Brisbane, consolidated at our Rocklea depot and delivered to our Roma depot at 71-75 Duke Street.
This is our most frequent service and the backbone of the western network. Freight picked up in Brisbane is sorted at Rocklea by destination, loaded in drop sequence and run west overnight to Roma.
Because the whole leg is on Wards equipment, there is no interlining and no handover to a third party. One company is accountable from pickup to delivery.

The value of a daily run is that a missed cut-off costs hours rather than days. If a customer order comes in late on a Tuesday, it can still be on Wednesday’s vehicle. That changes how much stock a Roma business needs to hold, and it is the main reason this service exists.
It also means consolidation works in your favour. Rather than paying for a dedicated vehicle to carry a single pallet 480 kilometres, your freight shares the run with everyone else heading the same way, and the cost is shared with it.

Roma is a staging point as well as a destination. Freight arriving on the daily service can continue west towards Charleville or north through the network. If your final destination is past Roma, say so when you book so it is loaded accordingly.
