We move same day, general, express and full load freight from Brisbane through to Charleville, delivered into our own depot on Kurrajong Street rather than handed to another carrier along the way.
Charleville sits at the western end of the Warrego corridor, around 750 kilometres from Brisbane. Freight is collected in Brisbane, consolidated at Rocklea and run west through the Darling Downs and Maranoa to our Charleville depot.
Running the full corridor ourselves matters most at this distance. A consignment that misses a connection here waits for the next service, not the next few hours.

Our western corridor covers Brisbane, Toowoomba and all areas west to Charleville, including Dalby, Chinchilla and Roma. Freight for those towns travels the same road, so it is usually more economical to put it on this run than to arrange a separate movement.

At around 750 kilometres from Brisbane, Charleville is far enough out that freight decisions have to be made earlier. The cost of getting it wrong is not a late afternoon, it is waiting for the next service while a job sits idle.
That is why we do not hand this corridor to anyone else. Freight stays on Wards equipment the whole way, and the depot receiving it at the other end is ours. When something does go wrong — a road closure, a breakdown, a late supplier — there is one company to call and one team who can actually do something about it.
Western Queensland roads close. In a wet season the Warrego and the roads north of it can be cut for days at a time, and no carrier can promise otherwise. What we can do is tell you early, hold freight somewhere sensible rather than stranding it, and get it moving again as soon as the road opens.

A lot of what moves to Charleville is not pallet freight. Machinery, tanks, structural steel and rig equipment need drop deck, extendable or ramp trailers, and over size or over mass loads need permits and sometimes pilots. That is handled as a dedicated movement, not on the scheduled run.
The run works in both directions. If you have freight coming back east — equipment off hire, returns, samples, repairs — it can travel on the return leg. Backloading is usually the cheapest way to move something east, so ask when you book.
